The chemicals
flow through my bloodstream ,
it acts as a fuel
as it reactivates old engines of steam,
the world now gets
a warmer glow,
it lifts the thick fog
and it melts the snow.
But in the deeper parts
of my dark amygdala,
an eerie question
is breeded:
How long will it last?
This vaccine prevents
a horrific disease,
it's always temporary -
It returns with ease
Can I continue on
this path of healing,
when I know this bug
could forever lurk in the ceiling?
